Here's how: Alfa Laval Unique Mixproof valves are predefined in the way they operate. This ensures consistency in operation throughout the product lifetime, even after being serviced multiple times. It also enables you, after validation of plant performance at commissioning, to repeat it time and time again.

During CIP, conventional seat lift and seat push are performed with duration of several seconds.
The predefined settings of the Unique Mixproof valves make it possible to achieve water savings up to 70% by reducing these seat lifts and seat pushes to duration of 1 or even ½ a second.

This is possible, as the valves are designed to operate with speed and to maximize the cleaning impact with up to 10 times in the opening moment of a seat lift or push, compared to the following seconds of seat cleaning.

Since Alfa Laval Unique Mixproof valves and Alfa Laval ThinkTop control unit are designed for central management of the production flow, different CIP programs can be applied to different production recipes for exact control of your consumed utility.
