NY Fashion Week Highlight: Markus Klinko & Indrani
For this multiple cover shoot with Hollywood "it" girl Olivia Wilde we decided to go for an updated movie star glam look, using classic giant tungsten (hot lights) rather than our usual high precision flash lighting.
The 20K tungsten created this gorgeous glow on Olivia, but from a technical perspective it was somewhat more difficult to deal with as I still insisted to shoot with the Leaf back set at 50 iso for the smoothest results.
Despite the blinding intensity of this giant light, the exposure was barely f5.6 at 125 and yet I still wanted to shoot the entire session handheld with the wonderful Mamiya 645 DF. The Mamiya Leaf camera system was up to the challenge and we ended up with a series of much talked about magazine covers.
